 Welling United have today confirmed a number of pre-season friendlies. The Wings will kick-off the pre-season with the annual friendly against Charlton Athletic on July 9th.  Welling lost 1-0 away at Havant & Waterlooville on the final day of the 07-08 season. The Wings were already safe from relegation and the Hawks had no chance of making the playoffs. Charlie Henry scored a late winner to secure three points for the homeside. |

 Striker Sam Gargan has been recalled by Brighton & Hove Albion. Gargan scored seven times for the Wings after joining on loan in January and was part of the Seagulls first team squad that travelled to Bristol Rovers. |
